Topaque, made from golden-coloured Muscadelle grapes, is a new name for an old wine. With a 120 year history in Rutherglen, it was always known as Liqueur Tokay, but was changed due to the 2008 EU naming laws. Flavours of apricot crumble and baked pear, creme brûlée and toffee, toasted almonds and walnuts, a little smokiness - it's sweet, luscious and rich, with creamy texture, balanced acidity and serious length.
