Fallen Giants Black Range Shiraz
From our single vineyard planted in 1969 on the eastern slopes of the Grampians. A nice even year with little in the way of heat spikes in the region. The Shiraz was hand-picked in April, then fermented in traditional open fermenters with hand plunging twice a day. The wine was pressed off to barrel where it matured in French oak (20% new) for 14 months before bottling. This single vineyard Shiraz has great concentration with hints of blueberry, dark cherry, fine tannins and lifted spice.
