This has hallmark slickness and vitality in texture, with greasy apple, nashi pear and cashew savouriness, a lift of pleasing white vinegary tang and a dash of sweet, exotic spice. That’s a good list of ingredients for Pinot Gris, done medium weight with good length. While not overly complex, it delivers a sense of layers and interest to the wine. Feels a little loose-knit and edgy in the best sense, with a cool, wild streak, but retains drinkability.
