Produced from Aglianico grapes with aging taking place in a mix of steel vats and 500 litre tonneau barrels. Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Emanating from the glass is a mixture of dark cherry, red currant and red liquorice scents followed by some earth, dried herb and spice notes. The mid weighted palate features freshly crushed dark cherry fruits alongside some red liquorice, dried herb, spicy vanilla and volcanic rock characters. Finishes dry and slightly grippy with bright acidity and grainy tannins. Chewy with a spicy red fruit driven aftertaste.
