Ziegler Hack Barrow Grenache Shiraz Mataro

Ziegler, meaning “Brickmaker”, was the name of one of the first German families to settle in South Australia's Barossa Valley. Like many settlers in the New Land, the Ziegler family discovered that the Barossa's rich, clay loam soils were perfect for creating bold, powerful wines. Originally used to transport moulded bricks to a location to dry, the Zieglers repurposed their “Hack Barrow” to transport their harvested fruit to the winery. This potent combination of Grenache, Shiraz, and Mataro is earthy with black cherry flavours and a hint of pepper spice lift and soft tannins. 40% Grenache, 40% Shiraz, 20 % Mataro.

Product of Barossa Valley, South Australia.
